The Swiss artists Eggs Bitschin have been a welcome and trustworthy partner for artistic projects in the Berlin subway for many years. Again and again they have provided very interesting and varied highlights with their own actions and also with the dedicated organization of larger artistic undertakings at various Berlin underground stations. The close collaboration between Swiss and German artists has always been particularly interesting, varied and inspiring.
That's why we welcomed and gladly supported this year's “Europe” art campaign at one of our newest and most outstanding subway stations from the very first idea in 2012/2013.
It will be interesting and, especially for our passengers, entertaining and varied two months in early summer at this subway station and on the forecourt. The subway station becomes the exhibition site and encourages all interested visitors to pause for a moment. There is no better way to spend the waiting time for the next subway.
